The Team BRM driver will also take home the prize of a $150,000 thanks to the Jayco ‘Road to the World’ and a test drive with Formula 3 team Carlin.

“It’s a pretty damn good feeling,” Lloyd said.

“It has been a pretty tough season between myself and Tom [Randle] and I just managed to get the car on rails this weekend and drove away so we couldn’t be happier.

“I managed to just get that bit of a gap each time, build the lead and couldn’t fault it, so we are absolutely happy with ourselves and couldn’t go wrong with Team BRM.

“I’d like to thank of course my parents, obviously the guys at CAMS, Team BRM, Jayco, Penrite, Hankook – these guys have made this season what it is and I can see it becoming something greater and bigger in the coming years.”

Rookie Will Brown claimed second this weekend and also his fourth Burson Auto Parts Rookie of the Round medal.

“It feels fantastic, this is the first time we’ve been back on the podium since Townsville, so to get a second for the weekend was just amazing,” Brown said.

“Heading into the final round it’s obviously really close between me and Harry [Hayek], so it’s going to come down to the last race.”

Team Toolforce driver Jimmy Vernon rounded out the podium with a solid third.

“It feels really good this weekend to be back up on the podium, quite disappointed with myself from the last race, but we tried to make the most out of the second-hand tyres that we were running, but to still end up third I’m really happy and it’s a good momentum to go into the last round at Homebush.”

In the final race Randle raced hard with Zane Goddard to finish fourth, while rookie Goddard managed a solid second in Race 3.

Harry Hayek still holds fourth in the championship, currently leading Brown in the rookie standings by two points.

Fifteen-year-old Luis Leeds kept his challenge on track over the weekend, retaining third in the championship with a strong performance seeing him finish third  in Race 3.

Frankie Maiolo and Caitlin Wood battled all weekend, with the Team BRM driver swapping and changing with the Jayco Dealer Team entry of Wood.

IQ Option’s Tom Grech had a trying weekend, a number of car issues hampering his weekend despite showing front-running race pace.

The final round of the CAMS Jayco Australian Formula 4 Championship will be held at the Sydney 500 on December 4-6
